Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) successfully held an Exit Conference on May 19, 2025, at the DILG Conference Hall, Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, to formally conclude the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program of the student-interns from Saint Joseph College of Baggao, Cagayan State University – Carig Campus, and the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao.

The conference served as both a recognition of the interns' meaningful contributions and a celebration of the strong academic partnerships that have enriched the program.

One of the key moments of the event was the Feedback Session delivered by student-interns Mr. Gabriel B. Mamanao, Ms. Myra M. Cabatu, Mr. Adame Vhon B. Infiel, and Ms. Xynna Chelseah E. Tiwag, who shared their experiences and learnings from their time at the department. Their reflections highlighted the importance of experiential learning in preparing for public service careers.

OJT Coordinators – Ms. Gieselle M. Ponce, Ms. Ma. Divina B. Tapiru, Mr. Ricky C. Maribbay, and Ms. Rovelle Concepcion S. Siazon – offered words of encouragement, praising the interns for their growth, professionalism, and dedication throughout their training and hoped for strong partnership with the department in the years to come.

HRMO II JA Peace U. Carodan, delivered the DILG’s general feedback, commending the interns’ contributions to various administrative and support functions. She emphasized the positive impact the interns had on the daily operations of the department.

Capping the messages was Chief Administrative Officer Ive B. Saludez who inspired the interns to carry forward the values of integrity, service, and excellence as they take the next step in their academic and professional journeys.

The event concluded with the Awarding of Certificates of Completion, officially recognizing the successful completion of the internship program. A Photo Opportunity followed, capturing the memorable culmination of a productive and enriching training experience.

As part of its commitment to strengthening the Local Governance Resource Center – Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Committee (LGRC-MSAC) and in line with one of the office’s key priorities under the leadership of Regional Director Agnes A. De Leon, CESO IV and Assistant Regional Director Elpidio A. Durwin, CESO IV, the DILG extends its heartfelt appreciation to all participating student-interns for their dedication and meaningful contributions to public service, as well as to its partner academic institutions for their unwavering support in building a vibrant community of mentors—an essential step in shaping the next generation of ethical, skilled, and service-driven public servants.
