DELFIN ALBANO, ISABELA - the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Delfin Albano, Isabela officially unveiled its Level III Potable Water System, subsidized through the Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) 2022 at Barangay Capitol, Delfin Albano on January 25, 2024.

Regional Director Agnes A. De Leon of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 2 commended Mayor Arnold Edward P. Co for his effective governance, which enabled the successful completion of the water system. During her address to the beneficiaries in Barangay Capitol, RD De Leon emphasized the vital role of water as a basic necessity for human existence. She encouraged the Barangay and LGU officials to form a partnership for the upkeep and management of the water system, urging residents to actively contribute to the progress of their municipality. RD De Leon expressed hope that the newly established water system would enhance the quality of life for the community, eliminating the need to fetch water from distant sources.

In addition, RD De Leon announced that Region 2 would receive potable water system projects as part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.'s initiative to improve living conditions for Filipinos.

Mayor Arnold Edward P. Co expressed gratitude to the DILG, under the leadership of RD De Leon, for the incentive fund that facilitated the successful completion of the water project. He highlighted that the project's completion would provide relief to the community, particularly in terms of drinking and cooking. Mayor Co also shared his anticipation for upcoming projects in the municipality in the coming years.

The inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the SGLGIF project were attended by RD De Leon, Provincial Director Corazon D. Toribio of DILG Isabela, personnel from the Regional and Provincial Project Development and Management Units (PDMU), LGU Delfin Albano officials and functionaries, Barangay Capitol officials, and residents.

The Level III Potable Water System at Barangay Capitol is expected to benefit a total of 872 residents by providing access to safe and sanitized drinking water.
