ROXAS, ISABELA – To hasten emergency rescue efforts and address the need to transport seriously ill patients in the Local Government Unit of Roxas, the municipality acquired three patient transport vehicles and one rescue vehicle procured through the FY 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF). The four rescue vehicles were unveiled to the public at the Municipal Hall grounds last October 23, 2023.

RD De Leon extended her commendation to LGU Roxas for their unwavering commitment to excellence, recognizing their impressive five-year streak as SGLG awardees. She underscored that this remarkable accomplishment is a clear testament to the enduring culture of good local governance embedded within the municipality. RD De Leon also praised LGU Roxas for setting a high standard for other LGUs in Isabela and Region 2, with their commitment to making good local governance an intrinsic part of their community's way of life. She further emphasized that the proper utilization of the incentive fund, enabling the procurement of four vehicles, demonstrates the LGU's ability to effectively address the needs of its residents.

Mayor Calderon and RD De Leon led the ribbon cutting ceremony and blessing of the rescue vehicles.

Mayor Jonathan Jose C. Calderon of LGU Roxas articulated that the decision to acquire these vehicles stemmed from an innovative, out-of-the-box strategy aimed at promptly addressing the municipality's health emergency requirements. He underscored that the collective dedication of both employees and elected officials within the municipality serves as compelling evidence of unwavering commitment to maintaining good local governance. Additionally, he acknowledged the fruitful collaboration among various agencies in support of the municipality, which has proven instrumental in ensuring the consistent delivery of government services to its constituents.
