
MADDELA, QUIRINO - The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Maddela inaugurated and turned over of several FY 2022 Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) projects and one Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) project on July 11, 2023.
The inauguration and turnover, spearheaded by Mayor Rimel C. Tolentino, was graced by DILG Regional Director Agnes A. De Leon together with Provincial Director Atty. Salvacion Z. Baccay, 1LT Nelson Rabosa of the 86th Infantry-Highlander Battalion 5th ID of the Philippine Army and personnel, Municipal and Barangay LGU functionaries as well as the project beneficiaries.
Mayor Tolentino expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all those involved in the successful implementation of the projects emphasizing the collaborative efforts that have paved the way for progress in the community.
RD De Leon stressed in her message that the completed projects in LGU Maddela will serve as beacons of hope to the residents of the municipality aside from the tangible benefits it will bring to the community.
RD De Leon emphasized the significance of these projects, particularly in conflict-ridden communities. She acknowledged the significant impact that infrastructural development can have on fostering peace, stability, and socio-economic growth in such areas. “These projects will serve as beacons of hope to the residents of Maddela aside from the tangible benefits it will bring to the community,” the regional director stressed.
1LT Rabosa on the other hand encouraged the community members to sustain the insurgency-free status of the Province by being vigilant and reminded everyone that unity and cooperation is the key to progress not violence.
LGU Maddela being one of the LGUs that was awarded the Seal of Good Local Governance in 2022 nationwide completed its SGLGIF project last July 7, 2023.
The three Punong Barangays of Villa Hermoza Sur, Ysmael, and San Martin expressed their sincere appreciation to the different agencies for their unwavering commitment to the welfare and their efforts in improving the socio-economic status of the local residents.
The following are the list of completed and turned-over projects which are expected to benefit around 2,415 families and households in the municipality:
