TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN – An online launch and forum on the Philippine Economic Update with the theme ”Navigating a Challenging Recovery” was conducted by the World Bank last June 10, 2021 via Zoom online platform.

 The forum covered recent economic and policy development and growth outlook for the Philippines that included a presentation on the study on the fiscal performance of Local Government Units (LGUs) and implications of the implementation of the Supreme Court Ruling on Mandanas-Garcia petitions.

Discussions were also held during the forum where panelists composed of local elective officials as well officers from national government agencies and the academe delved on matters regarding opportunities, challenges and policy options in the devolution transition and COVID-19 impact analysis on the Philippine economy and short to medium term policy actions for speeding up recovery.
