CABARROGUIS, QUIRINO, April 27, 2023 –In a bid to strengthen and promote convergence activities particularly during transition on account of the implementation of the full devolution, the DILG Quirino Provincial Office, through its Local Governance Resource Center (LGRC), partnered with other regional line agencies, Local Resource Institutes (LRIs), and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and other key players in local governance to establish a Multi-Stakeholders Advisory Committee (MSAC) in the province.

The activity was virtually conducted via Zoom application and attended by representatives from the Provincial Government of Quirino; Quirino Police Provincial Office (QPPO); Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP); Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP); Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA); Commission on Elections (COMELEC); Department of Trade and Industry (DTI); Philippine Information Agency (PIA); Department of Science and Technology (DOST); Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP); Commission on Audit (COA); Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA); National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP); Quirino State University (QSU); Office of the Provincial Prosecutor; Provincial Department of Health Office (PDOHO); Quirino Minister's Association; and Quirino Farmers Multi-purpose Cooperative. The attendees eventually formed part of the members of the MSAC and were apprised of their roles and in attaining the objectives of the committee as a whole.

The constitution of the provincial MSAC was led by DILG – Quirino Provincial Director, Salvacion Z. Baccay, and was facilitated by the provincial technical staff, Program Manager Blessing Grace G. Sagun, Local Government Capacity Development Unit (LGCDU) Chief Gladys S. Luna, LGOO II John Lambert A. Pascual, and LGOO II Ronel Q. Oandasan.

Once organized, the MSAC will serve as convergence point for knowledge-sharing and exchanges of ideas while harnessing capacities of local governments units to promote innovations for effectiveness and efficient local governance.
