BASCO, BATANES – DILG Batanes OIC - Provincial Director, Catherine G. Allam-Miranda, was warmly received by the Provincial Government of Batanes during her courtesy call to honorable Governor Marilou H. Cayco and other provincial officials and functionaries.
PD Allam-Miranda expressed her optimism to advance the partnership between the DILG and the local government units of Batanes.
According to her, the DILG will always be a partner of LGUs in the effective and efficient delivery of services to their constituents. She further committed the provision of necessary technical assistance to the province and its six (6) municipalities based on the results of the Seal of Good Local Governance Assessment.
She also looked into the status of the implementation of Locally-Funded Projects in the province, particularly the continuation of the Itbayat Potable Water System funded under AM 2020 and the implementation of the Street Light Electrification along the national road.
She plans to visit the other agencies and municipalities in the island province and she looks forward to the upcoming activities for the month of June including the PDEA Barangay Drug Clearing Program, Disaster Risks Reduction Preparedness Forum, and the conduct of Ease of Doing Business related programs.
