CAGAYAN VALLEY – Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 02 nominated seven municipalities across the region that have exemplary performances in good governance for the incoming National Knowledge Forum set on November 21 -22, 2018.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Quirino together with the Provincial Government steered an innovative advocacy of educating and enhancing the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Officials of Quirino through the conduct of an SK Summit titled “Tara! Let’s Meet up for #IGNITESK (Inspiring Greater and New Ideals towards a Transformed and Empowered Sangguniang Kabataan).

Saguday, Quirino- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) municipal office in partnership with the Liga ng mga Barangay Saguday Chapter and the Local Government of Saguday successfully conducted a three day Basic Orientation for the Barangay Newly Elected Officials towards Grassroots Renewal and Empowerment for Accountable and Transparent Barangays Program or BNEO towards GREAT Barangays Program on July 29-31, 2018 at ALERT Center, Saguday, Quirino.

With the new set of barangay officials ready to assume office this July 1, 2018, DILG RO2 is now preparing the ground works for the conduct of the BNEO for GREAT Barangays Program. The BNEO is a series of capacity building and coaching activities for barangay officials that will help and guide them to effectively perform their mandated duties and responsibilities.

DILG-Quirino conducted a one-day Provincial Roll-Out on the 2018 Local Government Support Fund-Assistance to Municipalities (LGSF-AM) Program on July 19, 2018 at 3K Hotel, Santiago City pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2018-61 and cognizant of the need to provide further support to the LGUs in the province to enable them to fully carry out functions devolved to them while at the same time building their capacity towards genuine fiscal autonomy.

SANTIAGO CITY, ISABELA – Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 02 has finished the orientation on its newest program to different provinces in the region, July 19-20, 2018.

Spearheaded by DILG – Provincial Office of Quirino, the two-day orientation on Local Government Support Fund—Assistance to Municipalities (LGSF-AM) Program aims to provide oversight mechanism, policies and guidelines, processes and responsibilities of LGUs while increasing their engagements to attain a high delivery rate of the program.

Leusen, Jr., CESO IV by COA, DILG RO2 has no Notice of Suspension (NS)/Notice of Disallowance (ND)/ Notice of Charge(NC) for the second quarter, 2018. This is based in the audit of various transactions in DILG RO2 from April1, 2018-June 30, 2018.
