Tuguegarao City, Cagayan—Director Elpidio A. Durwin assumed as the new OIC Assistant Regional Director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Office 02 today, January 15, 2018.

“I will continue what I have left 9 years ago,” new DILG R2 OIC Assistant Regional Director Durwin said during his first Monday convocation with the personnel of DILG regional office. I must go, I must see my dreams come true. I have to follow my dreams, to chase my dreams,” he added.
OIC ARD Durwin presented his plans to be proposed to the Regional Director namely: (1) Enhancement of Search for Top Achievers of Region 02 (STAR 02) policy specifically revisiting the criteria and indicators to be used for assessment; (2) Activation of the Damayan Fund for the benefit of its members; (3) Enrollment of Field Offices to PHILGEPs. He said that his experiences in the field would be of great help in crafting and enhancing policies to be more responsive with the field operations.
OIC ARD Durwin ends his message with a request for support and cooperation of the regional office personnel. “Wala akong ibang aasahan na tutulong sa akin kung hindi kayo,” he said.
The Monday convocation culminated with the yearly tradition of wine toasting. OIC ARD Durwin initiated the toasting ceremony with the Division Chiefs, COA Auditors and RPMO Head.
