
CABARROGUIS, QUIRINO -The DILG Quirino, thru the Comprehensive Local Integration Program (CLIP), awarded financial assistance to two (2) Former Rebels (FRs) at the Capitol Plaza Hotel and Restaurant, Capitol Hills, Cabarroguis, Quirino on May 18, 2016.
“It is a way of giving our brothers (and sisters) at the other side of the fence to return to the mainstream of society,” said DILG Regional Director John M. Castaneda, CESO IV, “To do so, we are giving them the starting capital to start their own business or livelihood.”
Financial Assistance amounting to P65,000.00, representing P15,000 for Immediate Assistance and P50,000.00 for Livelihood Assistance, was awarded to each FR by the DILG Regional Director.
Representatives from the Joint AFP-PNP Intelligence Committee (JAPIC), Provincial Governor’s Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Nutrition Council and DILG attended the activity together with the beneficiaries and their families.
CLIP is a National Integration Program (NIP) for members of the New Peoples’ Army (NPA) aimed at achieving permanent and peaceful closure of all armed conflict with the non-state armed groups.
