DILG R2 ASSETS 2.0 and Dakilang Kampeon sa SUBAYBAYAN 2021 Ceremonial Awarding

DILG REGION II, TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN – Recognized as one of the best innovative practices of the Department for FY 2020, DILG R2 continues with the implementation of the R2 ASSETS, this time, with the modification on the criteria to include parameters in assessing the sustainability and resiliency of projects being implemented by Local Government Units (LGUs) on December 10, 2021.

During the search for winners, the panel of evaluators composed of representatives from the Department of Health, Department of Public Works and Highways, Civil Society Organization and DILG began the online and virtual assessment of nominees from November 10 to 26, 2021. Along with it, DILG Region 2 also conceptualized the SubayBAYAN Series which highlights the importance of transparency and accountability in project monitoring and evaluation by recognizing top LGU and Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) each month beginning from January to November 2021.

The result of the shared commitment of DILG R2 and its partner LGUs for the past 11 months in continuing the culture of excellence in project implementation through the Dakilang Kampeon sa SubayBAYAN and R2 ASSETS 2.0 bared the following winners:

For the Dakilang Kampeon sa Subaybayan:

In his message, DILG Undersecretary for Local Government, Marlo L. Iringan commended DILG Region 2 and all the winners saying that “the road to quality and excellence starts with the first step, but with these two innovations that are at staged today, DILG Region 2 have gone far more steps and is heading a long mile… I commend all of you for being part of this productive undertaking.”

Winners in the Dakilang Kampeon sa SubayBAYAN received a Marker of Excellence and a project cash prize worth Fifty Thousand Pesos (Php 50,000.00), while winners in the R2 ASSETS 2.0 received a Plaque of Recognition and One Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php 100,000.00) worth of project cash award. Indeed, with the resounding success of these endeavours DILG Region 2 continuously achieved to become the formidable “Fortress of Excellence” in project monitoring and evaluation.
