TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN- DILG Region 02 through its Bantay- Korapsyon Regional Operations Unit (BK- ROU) has successfully conducted another leg of its virtual Capacity Development Workshop for Local Sanggunians, this time, for the Municipality of Angadanan, Isabela.

DILG Provincial Director, Engr. Corazon D. Toribio, in her message to the participants, said that a great opportunity has been afforded to the Municipality of Angadanan.

“It has long been DILG Isabela’s desire to conduct a capacity development for local Sanggunians, and the Regional Office’s initiative has answered this,” she said.

Acting as resource speaker to the activity was Atty. Julie Rose G. Castañeda, who discussed subject matters pertaining to the exercise of the Quasi-Judicial functions of the Sanggunian and its jurisdiction.

Atty. Castañeda delved on topics such as the roles of the local Sanggunian and rules of procedure during administrative investigations and ABC’s of legal writing.

A synthesis and simulation in tackling complaints was also conducted where a mock committee hearing was held by the Sangguniang Bayan members where they applied what was discussed earlier in conducting administrative proceedings.

The BK-ROU will soon be conducting a development workshop for the Municipality of Dupax Del Sur in Nueva Vizcaya, wrapping up the series of Capacity Development for Local Sanggunians for target LGUs in the region.
