Eighty DILG R2 officials and personnel signed up for the institutionalized registration under the Philippine Identification System conducted by Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) personnel on June 8-9, 2021 at the DILG Regional Office.
Commonly called as PhilSys, the registration is set to establish a single national identification system for all citizens and resident aliens of the Republic of the Philippines and to transform how services are delivered and accessed in the Philippines, and accelerate our transition to a digital economy, including paperless and cashless transactions.
Among those who availed and headed the on-site registration were Regional Director Jonathan Paul M. Leusen, Jr. and Assistant Regional Director Elpidio A. Durwin. The 3-step registration was scheduled for two (2) days to ensure that the minimum public health and safety protocols are observed.
DILG R2 expressed its gratitude to the services extended by the Philippine Statistics Authority-Cagayan Provincials office and offered to support the PSA in the implementation of the project, especially in the Local Government Units.(SOURCE: JAPEACE C. ABUGAN-HRMO II)
