TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN, DECEMBER 11, 2020 - Indeed a rewarding day for everyone as the Certifying Body, SOCOTEC Certification Philippines Inc., announced that DILG Region 2 successfully passed the Second Annual Surveillance Audit and is recommended for recertification for ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System with no non-conformities.
Since its ISO 9001:2015 certification issued January 2019, DILG R2 dares to fully implement QMS up to present. Hence, to monitor compliance to International Standards, the Second Year Surveillance Audit was conducted virtually via online platform Zoom last December 10-11, 2020 at DILG Regional Office and Provincial Offices of Cagayan and Isabela. The audit was conducted to ensure that the certified management system is maintained and continuously fulfilled between recertification audits. This year’s SOCOTEC auditors was led by Mr. Kim Winston Pajares, with Ms. Czharina Buaquena and Ms. Merian Domingo as support auditors.
During the closing meeting, lead auditor Kim highlighted the positive observations, best practices, improvements and achievements of DILG R2 in relation to its Quality Management System. He also pointed that Minor Non-Conformities issued during the CY 2019 1ST Year Surveillance Audit were checked and concluded that they were already acted upon and no repetitions were found out.
Regional Director Jonathan Paul M. Leusen Jr., DILG R2’s top management in his response message thanked the men and women of DILG R2, those who pursue change and even those who still resist change, since this is an inspiration to continuously embrace Quality Management System.
This is a proof that DILG Region 2 have embraced quality management system. Our commitment is to further strengthen and sustain it amidst this COVID-19 pandemic.
