
PEÑABLANCA, CAGAYAN, April 16, 2019- A total of P1,070,000.00 financial assistances were awarded to the thirty-eight (38) Former Rebels (FRs) on April 16, 2019 at Valerco Hall, Valley Hotel, Peñablanca, Cagayan.
From the 38 FRs, ten (10) Regular Members received their immediate assistance worth P15,000.00 and livelihood assistance worth P50,000.00, and twenty-eight (28) Militia ng Bayan (MB) received their immediate assistance worth P15,000.00 as well.
The said awarding is one of the highlights of the activity dubbed as “ALAM: An Orientation on E-CLIP Program for Strong Linkage and Increased Awareness of Multi-Stakeholders” cum Committee Meeting and Awarding of Checks.
“Ti ibababa yu, mabalin kadi nga di kayu mabusur. Kakabsat agtitinnulung tayu, ta sikayu ti gobyerno,” DILG R02 Director Jonathan Paul M. Leusen, Jr. addressed to FRs in his message during the Opening Program.
During the said undertaking, aside from the assistance under the E-CLIP Program, FRs were also oriented on the various assistance they can avail from the programs of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), PhilHealth, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Moreover, to intensify the support and increase the awareness on the E-CLIP program, representatives from partner agencies to include Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Justice (DOJ), National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) were also oriented with the overview and salient features of the E-CLIP Program.
After the orientation, the Cagayan E-CLIP Committee (ECC) convened for the deliberation of six (6) FRs and discussion of important matters for the program.# (Source: LGOO II Glaiza Lei G. Castillo)
