Amounting to P1.99M, the construction of the project was funded under the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) awarded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to LGU Solano for passing the Seal of Good Governance (SGLG) 2017 along with the 27 other municipalities in Region 02.
Aside from the award, each town received P2 Million cash grant for their other local priority projects. These projects should be implemented within the period of one year.
DILG 02 Regional Director Jonathan Paul Leusen Jr. said the awarding will further motivate LGUs to appreciate having an SGLG as well as an opportunity to grant PCF for their exemplary performances.
He lauded LGU Solano for their efforts in completing their PCF project in three months’ time.
Municipal Mayor Eufemia Dacayo said the award is a result of the collaborative efforts of different stakeholders during the SGLG assessment.
“It will be impossible to pass the SGLG without the camaraderie and efforts of our partner stakeholders,” she said.
