Better and convenient access to safe maternal and child health care is seen to flourish in Delfin Albano, Isabela these coming days.

This is made possible through the inauguration of two (2) unit birthing facilities in Barangay Carmencita and San Isidro, Delfin Albano, Isabela last January 23, 2018.

The facilities will help in reducing or eradicating the cases of maternal and infant deaths in the Municipality by providing a 24-hour quality service to all expectant mothers with a group of well-trained health care providers to run the facilities.

The facilities were funded under Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) amounting to Php1,500,00.00 each, as incentive received by the Municipal Government for passing the 2016 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

During the inauguration, Municipal Mayor Hon. Arnold Edward P. Co emphasized the necessity of high quality of health services for the people of Delfin Albano in order to become more productive.

He added that the projects will provide the residents with constant and convenient access to safe maternal and child health care that will greatly enhance the general health condition and well-being of every household.

DILG Region 02 Regional Director Jonathan Paul M. Leusen, Jr., CESO IV reminded the local officials and residents to harmoniously work together and to take good care of the facilities to achieve its purpose of providing faster and easier health services to the people.

Nanay Rosita Calacsan, resident of Barangay Carmencita, Delfin Albano, Isabela expressed her jubilation for the construction of health stations in their barangay. She hoped that the facility will be functional in order to cater the needs of the residents.

Julie Dumalag, resident of Barangay Bayabo, Delfin Albano, Isabela affirmed that the establishment of the facilities will be of great help not only to the residents of their barangay but also for the residents of the nearby barangays.

Meanwhile, a total of 12,644 persons will be benefitted from the facilities.
